Did you know that cacao has FORTY times the antioxidants of blueberries? Not only that but it's packed with magnesium & calcium, it's the highest plant source of iron, a natural mood lifter and it boosts your brain power. Pair that with energizing maca powder and it's hormone balancing superpowers and you're off to a great start in the morning. Bananas are high in potassium, vitamins, minerals and contain healthy energizing carbohydrates to keep you full until your next meal. Chia seeds have protein, fiber, Omega-3 fatty acids and micronutrients and paired with raw almond butter, add an extra 5 grams of protein to this shake. Tip: If you want more protein, simply add some vanilla plant-based protein powder.

As per usual - I use unsweetened nut milks and the only sugar comes from the fruit itself.


Makes: 1 serving 

What You'll Need:

  • 8 oz unsweetened vanilla coconut milk (I use So Delicious - my personal favorite)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 Tbsp raw almond butter
  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 Tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 tsp maca powder

To Make:

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend for about 45 seconds, or until smooth. Top with a few additional shredded coconut flakes if you'd like. Enjoy!
